Sardine Pate - A handy option for lunch

Sardine Pate

A delicious dip – full of heart friendly omega 3 fatty acids and protein.

This is so easy and very delicious, The oily fish is perfectly balanced by the capers and lemon.

 Makes enough for 2

1 small tin of sardines – drained

1 tbsp chopped chives

1tbsp chopped cooked red peppers (from a jar)

1tbsp capers drained

Zest and Juice of ¼ lemon

Few drops of tabasco or 1tsp tomato ketchup

 Mash the sardines in a bowl and add everything else – give it a good mix , add seasoning to taste and serve with warm pitta triangles or crackers of choice
